About an hour away is Paradise Hills Vineyard (among other vineyards along the Connecticut wine trail). We chose Paradise since it was one of the few open on a Monday (in December :)) and it did not disappoint!
Upon arriving, it really was difficult to know what to expect. Located at the end of a cul-de-sac in Wallingford the driveway leading to the winery looked like just that .. a driveway.
5 seconds in however the property completely opens up to a beautiful wine estate. Inspired by Tuscany the vineyard features a tasting room and outdoor tables for picnics. Italian-American owned and operated they feature premium varietals all grown out of Wallingford, CT.
The wines were delicious and we felt like we totally "escaped." The views, food, wine, ambiance was amazing and Christmas music booming made our entire stay. Check out their website to learn more about live music, their wine club, and all the fun you can have at Paradise. Which Connecticut wineries are your favorite? Tell us at WhatsupFairfield
